Charities
Over the years, Nexus Expedition has provided financial and volunteer support to the International Resource Committee and to OxFam International; both of which are close to our hearts.

Taking into consideration the number of times random strangers have helped us, in the course of our own lives and in the past years of Nexus Expedition, we feel a strong desire to reciprocate this help to the people who are in the most need of support.

Both Oxfam and the IRC provide very much needed support for refugees worldwide, helping them to start a new life away from war and conflict zones they have had to flee. This is why we would like to invite you to support these charities as well.

International Resource Committee (IRC)
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.

Dimitri's time with the IRC has been dedicated to teaching elementary computer classes to refugees, and to helping Bhutanese, Eritrean, Iragi, and Karen & Chin peoples from Myanmar with relocation to new Seattle homes.
